DCA's Internship Program

DCA Partners has a limited number of internships available in our Sacramento office. DCA’s intern program focuses on providing current graduate and undergraduate students with a significant opportunity to participate in a fast–paced, high–growth investment banking organization. As part of the Firm, the intern will work with senior bankers to gain fundamental skills in industry analysis, company evaluation, and transaction modeling. In addition, the intern will gain first–hand exposure to an investment banking environment and culture. Finally, the intern will work on projects from inception to completion, and will work directly with senior executives of the Firm.

Responsibilities vary based on level of professional experience and ability, but typically include:

  • Financial analysis of mergers and acquisitions
  • Marketing activities
  • Preparation of offering memoranda
  • Discounted cash flow and comparable company analysis supporting valuation opinions
  • Preparation of business marketing presentations
  • Research on industry transactions

Qualifications:
The intern program is intended for students who are enrolled in an undergraduate program with a major in business/finance, economics, or engineering or who are currently enrolled in an MBA program. Candidates must possess a desire to be involved in investment banking or private equity, an eagerness to learn and to participate, and a highly developed work ethic. The utmost levels of work quality and professionalism are required. In addition, successful candidates will possess previous academic or professional experience in finance, an attention to detail, will be dependable and responsible, and will have an entrepreneurial drive.
